Use a deep conditioner.

Deep conditioner is a great way to treat damaged hair.

Deep conditioner is also an effective treatment for frizzy, unmanageable locks that can’t be tamed with any other type of product or technique by itself

Avoid shampooing your hair every day.

Shampooing your hair every day can strip the oils from your scalp and damage your hair. In addition, shampooing every day can cause dryness, dandruff, split ends, and other hair problems.

Instead of using a regular shampoo each time you wash your hair (which is not good for your scalp), try using an herbal shampoo instead. Herbal shampoos will nourish the skin beneath the scalp while leaving it clean without stripping its natural oils as many chemical-based shampoos do.

Make sure you’re not over-treating the ends of your hair with heat.

Don’t overdo it. While heat is great for locking in moisture, don’t use too much heat on the ends of your hair.

Avoid blow drying or curling wet hair with a blow dryer. This can cause damage and breakage, as well as damage the cuticle layer of each strand in turn.

Don’t use flat irons on damp strands because they can pull at the roots and cause breakage; instead, try using an ionic flat iron if you really want that silky smooth finish!

Use oil-based products on your hair.

When you use oil-based products on your hair, it’s best to use them sparingly. This is because oil is heavier than water and therefore more likely to weigh down your strands and make them look greasy. Oil can also cause breakage if you don’t wash it out regularly enough—and if you’re coloring your hair frequently as many people do these days, this could be a major problem!

Oil-based products are also, better for the health of your scalp because they nourish the follicles, where new growth occurs naturally, over time rather than using harsh chemicals that could dry out those same follicles even further (which leads us to our next point…

Do not use any styling products that contain alcohol or petroleum.

One of the most important things you can do to keep your hair healthy is to avoid using styling products that contain alcohol or petroleum. These two ingredients are very drying on the hair, so if you want healthy, shiny locks then it’s best to avoid them at all costs!

The only exception would be when using dry shampoo (which I’ll talk more about later).

Don’t brush your hair too often.

Don’t brush your hair too much.

Don’t brush your hair too hard.

Don’t do it more than once a week or so at most, unless you have time constraints that prevent this and need to get back on track quickly after a break (like traveling).

If you’re using hair spray and want to keep it fresh looking, don’t apply it while your hair is wet. Hair spray can make your hair look greasy quickly and make it limp, unkempt, dull, and lifeless.

Instead of spraying on too much product at once (which will cause your roots to look oily), try applying just a small amount of hairspray before drying off with a towel or blow dryer set at the lowest temperature. This will help keep the roots from getting too heavy so that when you do decide to use more product later on, it won’t give off an oily appearance like other products might have done in the past!
